What it does

A newsletter you own, sent from a server you control

Capture & consent

Grow the list — compliant from the first signup

Drop the subscribe form anywhere and let double opt-in do the rest. Every subscriber is confirmed, every opt-in is logged, and every email you send carries a 1-click unsubscribe — so compliance is never a bolt-on.

  • Shortcode, Gutenberg block and widget — embeds in any builder
  • Double opt-in + preference center on by default
  • 1-click unsubscribe, List-Unsubscribe header and a consent log
Subscribers screen: a searchable, filterable list with consent source and status, subscribers grouped into lists, and CSV import and export
Your own sending engine

Send from your server — and watch it work

A real queue throttles, batches and retries every send on a schedule, so even large campaigns never block your site. The dashboard shows the engine status, what you've sent and every recent campaign at a glance. Free delivers through wp_mail or your SMTP; Pro routes through Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun or Brevo.

  • Queue with throttling, batching and automatic retries — no metered cloud
  • No per-subscriber fee: the engine runs on your own server
  • Pro: high-deliverability senders (SES, Postmark…) + open/click tracking
Dashboard overview: confirmed and pending subscriber counts, emails sent in the last 30 days, the sending-engine status card and a list of recent campaigns with their status
Everything included

The full toolbox

Every capability shipped today — everything here is free except the five items marked Pro.

Unlimited subscribers & lists

Grow the list as large as you want, across as many lists as you need — there is no per-subscriber fee, now or ever.

Signup form, anywhere

Add the subscribe form with a shortcode, a Gutenberg block or a widget. It is theme-agnostic and embeds cleanly in Bricks, Elementor and Divi.

Double opt-in

Confirmed opt-in by default — subscribers verify their email before they join, so your list stays clean and your sending reputation stays high.

Preference center

A hosted page where subscribers pick their lists or leave entirely — no support ticket, no dark patterns.

1-click unsubscribe

Every email carries a tokenized 1-click unsubscribe and the RFC 8058 List-Unsubscribe header that Gmail and Outlook now require.

Consent log

Every opt-in is recorded with its source and timestamp for Ley 19.628, GDPR and CAN-SPAM — with your physical postal address on every campaign.

Broadcast campaigns

Compose in a rich-text editor from a simple template, send to a list and schedule it for later. Merge tags personalize each message.

Your own sending engine

A real queue with throttling, retries and batching sends from your own server through wp_mail or your SMTP — no third-party cloud in the middle.

CSV import / export

Bring an existing list in from a CSV and export it back out anytime. Your subscribers are yours to take with you.

WooCommerce checkout opt-in

When WooCommerce is active, add a consented opt-in at checkout that respects your double-opt-in setting — turned off cleanly when Woo is not installed.

Sending log

See what was sent and what failed, per campaign, so a delivery problem never goes unnoticed.

Theme-agnostic & builder-ready

The front-end form carries namespaced CSS, loads its assets only where it renders and never fights your theme or page builder.

Standalone

Runs on any WordPress site. WooCommerce is a bonus, never a requirement — the newsletter works with or without a store.

Fully translatable

Every string is translation-ready and works with WPML and Polylang.

High-deliverability senders

Route campaigns through Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun or Brevo for inbox placement at volume. Pro.

Advanced segmentation

Target by purchases, engagement and custom fields, and build campaigns with a visual block composer. Pro.

A/B testing

Test subject lines and content, then resend automatically to the subscribers who did not open. Pro.

WooCommerce automations

Welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase and win-back flows that fire from real store events. Pro.

Open & click tracking

Per-campaign open and click tracking with a reporting dashboard. Pro.

Setup

Sending in 3 steps

01

Install & activate

Upload the plugin or install it from the Plugins screen. It runs on any WordPress — WooCommerce is optional. No code, no config files, no external account to open.

02

Drop the signup form

Place the subscribe form with a shortcode, a block or a widget, and set your sender name, reply-to and physical address. Double opt-in and the consent log are on by default — you are compliant from the first signup.

03

Write & schedule

Compose a broadcast in the rich-text editor, pick a list and send now or schedule it. Your own queue throttles and retries the delivery — sent from your server, at your pace.

The alternative

Self-hosted versus a metered email cloud

The big email platforms run on a metered cloud — your list lives on their servers, the price climbs with every subscriber, and the moment you stop paying your sending stops. Australcode keeps the list, the engine and the bill on your own site.

FAQ

Before you ask

Do my subscribers depend on an external service?
No. Your list is stored in your own WordPress database and campaigns are sent from your own server with wp_mail or your SMTP. The plugin only contacts Freemius for license validation and updates — never with your subscribers or their data.
Is there a per-subscriber or monthly fee?
No. Subscribers are unlimited and there is no monthly fee. The free version sends from your server at no cost; Pro is a flat annual license, no matter how large your list grows. That is the whole point — you escape the metered cloud pricing of the big platforms.
Do I need WooCommerce?
No. Australcode Email Marketing is standalone — it runs on any WordPress site. If WooCommerce is active it adds a consented checkout opt-in (free) and store automations (Pro), but the newsletter works fully without a store.
How does it stay compliant?
Compliance is built in, not an add-on: double opt-in confirms every subscriber, every email carries a tokenized 1-click unsubscribe and the RFC 8058 List-Unsubscribe header, campaigns include your physical postal address, and every opt-in is written to a consent log. It is designed around Ley 19.628, GDPR and CAN-SPAM from the first signup.
How does the sending engine work — will it choke my server?
Campaigns run through a real queue with throttling, batching and retries, processed on a schedule rather than all at once, so large sends never block your site. On the free tier it delivers via wp_mail or your SMTP; Pro adds Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun and Brevo adapters for high-volume inbox placement.
Can I move my existing list in?
Yes. Import your subscribers from a CSV in one step, and export them back to CSV whenever you want. Switching in — or out — never means losing your list.
Will the signup form work with my theme and page builder?
Yes. The form ships as a shortcode, a Gutenberg block and a widget, with namespaced CSS and conditional asset loading, so it embeds cleanly in Bricks, Elementor, Divi or a block theme without fighting your styles.
Is the free version crippled? What's the catch?
No catch. The free version is a complete newsletter: unlimited subscribers and lists, the signup form, double opt-in, the preference center, 1-click unsubscribe, the consent log, broadcast campaigns and the sending engine — with no caps. Pro adds scale (high-deliverability senders), automation and analytics, not the core promise.
Exactly what does Pro add?
Scale and automation: high-deliverability senders (Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun, Brevo), advanced segmentation and a block composer, A/B testing with resend-to-non-openers, WooCommerce automations (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back) and open/click tracking with a dashboard.
How do refunds and licensing work?
14-day unconditional money-back guarantee, processed by Freemius — our Merchant of Record. Licenses renew annually; if a license lapses the plugin keeps working, you just stop receiving updates. One-site, five-site and 25-site licenses are available.
